CACVT’s Knowledge Network Series 26/27: On-demand

Code Blue! Canine/Feline CPR based on RECOVER Guidelines
Now available on demand. To help you be more prepared in an emergency situation, this lecture will review canine/feline CPR. We will be following the guidelines from the RECOVER Initiative for both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS). We will cover both the Initial Assessment Algorithm and the CPR Algorithm, as well as emergency drug dosing charts.

Clinical Preparedness for Psychedelic Substance Exposure in Animals
Available starting 1/13/27. In 2022, Colorado passed policy allowing at-home cultivation and use of psilocybin-containing mushrooms and created facilitated therapeutic access to psychedelic substances. Like cannabis before it, increased human access means increased animal exposure risk — in homes, in therapeutic settings, and along cultivation and manufacturing routes. This session provides an overview of the policy context, at-risk animal populations, clinical signs of exposure, available response tools, and guidance for the post-exposure critical period.
