Speaker CE Approval

Did you know, you can submit for speaker/continuing education approval to the CACVT for private events like lunch & learns, CE at hospital meetings, or drug representative educational visits? You will be helping your veterinary technicians accumulate CE hours for on-site learning, which can also be a great benefit as an employer.

How to submit for speaker CE approval:

1. Review the CE Category Guidelines to ensure your session meets the criteria for either medical or non-medical CE before beginning. *Please note, if the lecture is already RACE approved, it does not have to be submitted for CACVT approval.
2. Complete the Speaker CE Approval Form in its entirety. You will be contacted via email regarding the submission status. It can take up to two weeks to review speaker CE approval submissions, so be sure to submit the form well in advance of your event.

Proof of Attendance

A PROOF OF ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATE MUST BE PROVIDED TO ATTENDEES.

To submit the CE for certification renewal, any RVT attending the lecture must receive “proof of attendance” provided by the presenter. This can be any type of certificate that contains the following information:

1. Attendee’s Name
2. Presentation Date
3. Time — written in CE hours (ex. 1 CE hour)
4. Presentation Title
5. Speaker, including credentials
6. Presenting Organization
7. Presenter’s Signature
8. CACVT Approval Number

It is the responsibility of the RVT to provide proof of CE to the CACVT during the renewal process to maintain credentialing.
