Legislation and Regulatory Advocacy

CACVT advocates for veterinary technicians across Colorado. In 2021, we helped secure professional regulation and protections for RVTs, strengthening recognition and professional standards.

This work helps protect the RVT title, strengthen professional recognition, and support the long-term advancement of veterinary technicians in Colorado.

Our advocacy committee monitors 5–10 legislative and regulatory issues each year to ensure the voice of veterinary technicians is represented and opportunities for the profession continue to advance.

  • Representing RVTs with legislators and regulators
