The Technician of the Year award recognizes an individual for their accomplishment and contribution to the promotion of the overall betterment of the industry.

Nomination Guidelines
Nominate your favorite veterinary technician for this award. Nominations can be submitted by any member of the veterinary community that works closely with the nominee. Consideration will be given to the following criteria:
- Registered veterinary technician and professional member in good standing with the CACVT
- Supportive of the CACVT’s mission- to credential and empower veterinary technicians, creating sustainable positive impact in the veterinary community
- Demonstration of outstanding individual work performance, positive attitude, team work, and motivation
- Leadership positions held within the veterinary technician community at large
- Demonstrated interest in attaining additional education and training preferred
- Contributions to professional development and continuing education
- Community service
The Tech of the Year will receive:
- Spring Conference (2026) all-inclusive package (complimentary registration, two-night stay at the conference hotel, CACVT annual T-shirt)
- Personalized plaque
- Feature in CACVT Connect: Newsletter
- 1-year of complimentary registration to CACVT events*
