The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) is a dynamic community of Credentialed Veterinary Technicians dedicated to advancing veterinary technicians through advocacy, awareness, and professional development. The Dental Vision and Hearing Plan offers two policy year benefit options of $1,000.00 or $1,500.00, individual issue ages of 18-85, family rates (Includes a maximum of 3 children) and cover claims at 60% 1st year, 70% 2nd year and 80% 3rd year and beyond. The plan is Guaranteed Issue and Guaranteed Renewable for Life. Cancer Care Plus offers four different plans, it pays a first occurrence benefit when first diagnosed, yearly screening test and pays actual charges for Chemotherapy, Radiation, and Immunotherapy (up to a monthly maximum). Award Details:

The Tuition for Techs scholarship is annual, meaning each applicant can apply and be awarded every year as long as they meet the eligibility requirements. 

The Veterinary Technician National Examination® Award is presented by the veterinary technology/nursing program faculty, to one graduating student every year, and covers the cost of the VTNE® exam.

The AAVSB’s Veterinary Technician National Examination® Celebrating Diversity Award is presented to one graduating veterinary technology/nursing minority student who has been traditionally underrepresented in the veterinary technician profession.

The Association of Zoo Veterinary Technicians (AZVT) was established in 1980 as a means for veterinary and medical technicians employed in zoos to communicate and share their specialized veterinary knowledge. The Association publishes a quarterly newsletter in addition to sponsoring the annual conference, a grant program, and the scholarship competition.

The scholarship competition is open to any student currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary or medical technology program, as well as, students that have graduated within one [1] year of the abstract deadline. The Laurie Page-Peck Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to allow a deserving veterinary or medical technology student with an active interest in zoo veterinary medicine to attend the annual conference of the Association of Zoo Veterinary Technicians.

The Mike Rowe Works Foundation is on a mission to help close the skills gap by challenging the stigmas and stereotypes that discourage people from pursuing the millions of available jobs. They’re redefining a good education and a good job, because they don’t think a four-year degree is the best path for the most people. They want people to understand the impact of skilled labor on their lives, and they’re convinced that the solution has to start with a new appreciation for hard work.

Each year, they give away a modest pile of money through the Work Ethic Scholarship Program to help people get trained for skilled jobs that are in demand. They’ve proven that opportunities in the trades aren’t alternatives to viable careers – they are viable careers. Through this program, they encourage people to learn a useful skill, and they reward those who demonstrate that they’ll work their butts off. When it comes to hard work, there is no alternative. Since their inception, they’ve granted $11 million in work ethic scholarships.

In celebration of the Human-Canine Bond, the Fund awards five scholarships per year, totaling $10,000 annually, payable as tuition assistance to accredited institutions to full-time students enrolled in courses of study that contribute to the well-being of dogs and responsible pet ownership. Individuals pursuing studies in veterinary medicine, veterinary technology, physical therapy, animal care, animal behavior, grooming and training, may be eligible for this grant.

Dechra is a global specialist in veterinary pharmaceuticals and a global leader in veterinary endocrinology and topical dermatology, have a broad portfolio of analgesia, anesthetics and products for the treatment of pain, and are also recognized as innovators in other specializations such as the treatment of equine lameness and differentiated generics.
