CACVT’s Live KNS: Code Blue! Canine/Feline CPR Based on RECOVER Guidelines

August 25 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

To help you be more prepared in an emergency situation, this lecture will review canine/feline CPR. We will be following the guidelines from the RECOVER Initiative for both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS). We will cover both the Initial Assessment Algorithm and the CPR Algorithm, as well as emergency drug dosing charts.

Meet Our Speaker

Kaycee Neff, RVT

Kaycee has been working in the veterinary field since August 2008, becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician in March 2023. In her 17+ years working in veterinary medicine, she has worked in general clinic practice, mobile general practice, and emergency medicine.

During her work in emergency medicine, she developed a passion for emergency surgery, ICU patient nursing care, canine/feline CPR. She is also a RECOVER Certified BLS/ALS CPR Rescuer. And is working towards becoming a Certified BLS/ALS CPR Instructor, which will allow her to certify others as Rescuers.

When she is not at work, she enjoys reading and playing video games, and crocheting amigurumi. Her family consists of her loving husband, and her 6 children (5 boys and 1 girl). Her pet family includes a 7 year old Irish Wolfhound/Great Dane mix – Pyper, a 6 year old Borzoi – Rowyn, two cats – Dejah and Banshee, and a 2 year old bearded dragon named Thorn.
