Veterinary Technician Week
October 19 - October 25

Veterinary Technician Week is celebrated each October to recognize the critical role credentialed veterinary technicians play in animal healthcare and the veterinary profession. It’s a time to highlight their dedication, compassion, and expertise—whether they’re monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, providing nursing care, educating clients, or supporting veterinarians in countless other ways. Vet techs are often the bridge between patients, clients, and the veterinary team, ensuring high-quality care and advocacy for animals of all kinds.
Beyond honoring their daily contributions, the week also brings awareness to the challenges and opportunities within the profession. It’s a chance to shine a spotlight on their specialized skills, promote understanding of their responsibilities, and encourage ongoing growth through education and professional development. Ultimately, Vet Tech Week serves not only as a celebration of their hard work, but also as a reminder of the vital role they play in advancing animal health and welfare.
